This is not an official site of the Kerala Assembly (Niyama Sabha). The data appearing in these pages are largely based on official figures. However, treatment of independents supported by political parties varies (see summary for 1996). It has been noticed that the total votes polled and the sum of the votes polled by individual candidates do not tally in certain cases. This is often on account of tabulation errors that are present in the official figures themselves. However, in 1996 the figures have been tallied officially as computers were used to compile the results. Still, there were some errors in the official reportage of results summary. This has been corrected in this database. In the constituencywise results, some missing ballots were separately accounted (in 1996) or added to the invalid votes count officially. Some 2001 and 2006 results do not tally with total votes polled. (The differences are marginal and some have been corrected. Others will be reflected in percentage totals.) While every effort has been taken to keep the database free of typographical and other errors, no warranties are implied or given regarding accuracy or usability of the data.
