| K. Muraleedharan was inducted into the Ministry as Minister for Electricity on February 11, 2004. Tourism was allocated to P. Sankaran, Health and related portfolios to Kadavoor Sivadasan and Excise and Fisheries to Prof. K. V. Thomas. Muraleedharan resigned on May 14 following his defeat in the by-election from Wadakkancherry. Subsequently, Electricity was returned to K. Sivadasan as additional portfolio. The Antony Ministry resigned on August 29, 2004, and Oommen Chandy was sworn in as the new Chief Minister on August 31, 2004. |

| K. P. Viswanathan, who was Forest Minister, resigned on February 9, 2005 following an adverse remark by the High Court. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan held additional charge of his portfolios until A. Sujanapal was sworn in on January 4, 2006. There were minor changes in the portfolios of a few Ministers following Sujanapal's induction. The allocation of portfolios after induction of Sujanapal is given above. The Cabinet resigned on May 12 following defeat in the elections and was asked to continue until alternate arrangements were made. New ministry headed by V. S. Achuthanandan assumed office on May 18, 2006. |
